Perspective is a collaboration between Judy and myself. We have known each other for 25 years and wanted to do a show together from the start.

I began to choose photographs that inspired me from Judy’s immense collection. A daunting task to select so few. I abstracted Judy’s images into paintings. The process evolved. It fascinated us both that we saw images so differently. Judy became inspired by my new paintings which in turn influenced her to take new photographs.

She emailed me one day and said, “Does your brain really work this way?” Painting from Judy’s photographs, her vision of the slope, has broadened my creative genre. In turn, Judy photographed new work from my existing paintings.

The process will keep maturing. We had so much fun developing this show and hope you will enjoy the transformations.
